And the picture-perfect views from your porch!

Prospect Point Cottages is nestled on the shores of Blue Mountain Lake, a crown jewel of the magnificent Adirondack Park, with a view of the lake and mountains you'll never forget. All our cottages boast large picture windows and porches overlooking the lake. Most have been completely renovated and feature cathedral ceilings, knotty-pine walls and skylights. Some are wheelchair friendly and have fireplaces.

Prospect Point is right on the water - no need to cross any highways to reach our beautiful 150 foot sandy beach!

Rising from the beach, our broad hillside lawn is perfect for lying in the sun, enjoying a book, having a picnic, or playing a game of ball, horseshoes or badminton.

Cottage on the Water!
Beautiful Balsam, one of our many cottages by the water's edge.

At Prospect Point, there is no regimen or set time; instead, an atmosphere of relaxation and warmth pervades. When you're feeling adventurous, we'll supply you with a map of nearby hiking trails, or point you to some of our favorite canoe haunts. We have a fleet of canoes, rowboats and paddle boats guests are welcome to use. Or you can rent a power boat from the livery a short walk up the road.

Tennis is right in town and free for all to enjoy - just bring your own balls and rackets.

The Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts, a regional treasure, hosts concerts, classes, plays and exhibits.

Not to be missed, the renowned Adirondack Museum, called "the best of its kind in the world" by the NY Times, is just across the lake.

You can take a tour of "Great Camp Sagamore", the incomparable northwoods retreat of the Vanderbilts (a National Historic Landmark, 15 miles away), or embark on a fabulous romantic sightseeing, buffet or dinner cruise aboard the W W Durant on nearby Raquette Lake.

Or step back in time and enjoy a guided historic cruise down our own chain of lakes in an antique powerboat. Among the finest small tours in the mountains, it departs several times daily from the Boat Livery right in town.

Beautiful Beach Scene
What better spot to drink in the view, enjoy a good book,
go fishing, listen to loons, paint a picture, dream, live . . .

For the really adventurous, we recommend seeing the Adirondacks by air; Helms Aero Service in nearby Long Lake takes you on a spectacular seaplane flight over our region, offering unrivaled photographic opportunities that simply can't be had any other way.
